Arguing with Witnesses vs Trinitarians
by schnell ini have always been told as a jw that trinitarians, particularly baptists, are just the worst people to argue with out in service.
i have always been told it was the world with a veil over their eyes.
the hypocritical irony is that so many witnesses are completely stubborn and willing to believe in magic before they believe anything against their dogma.

My oldest friend, Quincy Roberts, Ex-JW died last night at age 66
by TerryWalstrom inthe first time i walked into a kingdom hall, i was about 15 years old.
i shook hands with a 12-year-old named quincy.
as time passed and we grew older, quincy hung out with us older j-dubs.

I'm sorry for your loss. You've posted a nice memorial for Quincy.
I have to comment that I think the only congregation name that could be more oxymoronic than "Polytechnic Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses" would be "The MENSA Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses".
The Witnesses would always offer each other the lie that "there is always the resurrection." We know that is not true, but we understand the analgesic properties of such fables.

Could it be because the OT was written in Hebrew while the NT was written in Greek?
There is no "yod-he-haw-he" in the Greek version of Scrabble.

Is this another Trump backflip?
by fulltimestudent inwe've seen one backflip.
crooked hillary became a hard-working woman who deserves the nations praise (in his victory speech);.
now according to a uk newspaper:.

"Trump's political inexperience is obvious but all he needs to do is to surround himself with experienced politicians that are running the country already - and maybe listen to them, which seems to be the case from his remarks about Obamacare, etc..."
Yes, Fisherman. That is why I decided that I would vote for Trump rather than the well-entrenched Clinton Global Crime Machine.
George Washington may have been our last President with high ideals, and he has his detractors. Our President doesn't have to be perfect, just correctable, and I trust the Republicans on that matter much more than I trust the party of social slavery, who, as we have seen, are not even honest within their own walls.
...and I really want Hillary to write her book about trading cattle futures!

Question: Can't You Just Ignore A Judicial Committee?
by Sorry inone thing i've never understood is judicial committees.
yes, i understand it's held to see if elders should go through with the disfellowshipping process.
but why give them all the power?

You can ignore EVERYTHING.
Ignore Tornados.
Ignore Hurricanes.
Understand, however, that events have CONSEQUENCES. Sometimes you can't ignore those consequences.
Let the reader use discernment. Selah.

I strongly believe that prophets should be well-identified so we will know who to thank when their prophecies come true.
For that reason...
David Brooks thinks Donald Trump will be impeached. The New York Times columnist (not a professor) penned an entire column about preparing for “the post-Trump era,” concluding “the guy will probably resign or be impeached within a year.”
He’s not alone. Filmmaker Michael Moore predicted on Morning Joe (MSNBC) that American won’t “have to suffer” through a whole term of Trump since “he will—maybe unintentionally—break laws.”
